Privacy policy

Effective date : 2 November 2026

This English version is for convenience only. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Privacyverklaring

In brief

  • We mainly process what you send us: forms, email, phone and project files for studio work.
  • No ad cookies, no sale of data; we keep session material up to 24 months after wrap-up.
  • We never use your recordings to train AI or build voice clones.
  • Questions or requests: [email protected] or 020 737 0294; you may still complain to the Dutch DPA.

1. Who is responsible

Fractaltrail B.V. ("we"), a private limited company (B.V.), registered at Overtoom 376A, 1054 JT Amsterdam, is the controller for personal data collected through fractaltrail.click and in direct contact with you: enquiries, quotes, bookings, recording, mixing, mastering and podcast sessions at our Overtoom studio.

We follow the GDPR and the Dutch GDPR Implementation Act. For privacy questions: [email protected] or 020 737 0294. We have not appointed a data protection officer; for our size that is not required.

Further company details are on legal notice. Use of the site is also governed by our terms and conditions.

2. Scope

This statement applies if you browse fractaltrail.click, write to us or book studio time in Amsterdam. It sets out categories of data, purposes, retention and the rights you can exercise under EU and Dutch law.

When a company hires us to record guests or presenters, that company typically chooses how those recordings are used. We deliver the technical work; the company stays controller for those individuals unless we agree something different in writing. See rights and release for release context.

3. Data we process

Through contact: name, email, phone (optional), chosen service (for example Vocal recording or Stereo mixing), preferred date (optional) and your message. Without this baseline we cannot send a tailored quote within our 2 working-day response window.

Booking and delivery: billing details, artist or project name, schedule and agreed rates (such as €98 or €295, including 21% VAT), email and phone threads, payment references. A 30% deposit may apply under article 6 of the terms.

Session and project files: audio recordings, mix and master files, export formats and short technical notes. Voice and performance are personal data when you are identifiable.

Technical: our host TransIP B.V. processes server logs (IP address, time, page requested, user agent) for security. Your cookie choice is stored locally; see cookie policy.

We do not ask for special-category data. Sessions require a minimum age of 16; younger participants book through a parent or guardian.

We do not sell or rent data. We do not send newsletters or unsolicited marketing. Where we rely on legitimate interest, we balance your rights; you may object (below).

5. Recordings, voice, image and AI

We treat your voice and performance as confidential within the project. We do not publish session excerpts on our site or social channels without prior written consent. If you or your team film during a session, you control that material.

We do not use client recordings to train, test or improve machine-learning or AI systems, and we do not create synthetic voice without explicit written consent from the person concerned.

Practical prep tips: prepare your session. Delivery formats: delivery formats for streaming.

6. Recipients and processors

Only team members working on your project have access, including Maarten van Dijk and engineers on site. We share data only when needed:

  • TransIP B.V. — hosting for fractaltrail.click, email and storage; data in the Netherlands/EEA.
  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co, United States) — forwards the contact form to our mailbox; see transfers below.
  • Accountant — billing data, bound by professional secrecy.
  • Bank — payments and chargebacks.
  • Authorities — when the law requires.

Processors sign agreements meeting Article 28 GDPR. Services and rates: services.

7. Transfers outside the EEA

Hosting and day-to-day storage stay in the EEA via TransIP B.V.. The contact form uses FormSubmit in the United States, so name, email, phone and message may briefly be processed outside the EEA. We use this route because it reliably forwards to [email protected] without our own backend.

Where applicable we use standard contractual clauses and appropriate safeguards. To avoid this transfer, email or call us directly at [email protected] or 020 737 0294; we handle the request the same way.

8. Security

We apply appropriate measures: HTTPS on the site, restricted system access, strong passwords and encryption where the service supports it. Physical studio access is controlled outside opening hours (Tue–Sat 10:00–22:00).

If a breach poses a risk to your rights, we notify the Dutch Data Protection Authority when required and inform you when the risk is high. No online transfer is completely risk-free; once we receive data we protect it under our internal rules.

9. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability of data you provided, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send requests to [email protected] or by post to Overtoom 376A, 1054 JT Amsterdam. We reply within one month; complex cases may be extended by two months with an explanation. We ask for identification only when reasonably necessary.

You may lodge a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch DPA), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. We prefer to resolve most questions first via contact.

10. Cookies and similar tech

The site uses no analytics, advertising or social trackers. Only your banner choice is stored under key frct_consent_v1 for 182 days. Change preferences via or our cookie policy.

11. Links and maps

Our contact page may link to OpenStreetMap. External sites have their own privacy rules; we are not responsible for their processing. More practical questions: FAQ.

12. Version and changes

This policy is informational and does not limit your legal rights. Effective: 2 November 2026. Last updated: 2 November 2026.

Material changes are published on this page. For ongoing jobs we email active clients when appropriate.
